Award winning Director of Photography Mark Woods developed the "L.A.D. System of Testing" to determine optimum film density and the resulting printer lights for Lab Aim Density prints.  This system can also be used to optimize both the scan in and the film out from electronic acquisition.  He has contributed many technical articles to International Camera Guild magazine. He has made presentations with The Camera Guild, The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and SMPTE (the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers).  He has was a lecturer for many years at the California State University at Northridge teaching the Advanced Cinematography classes and still mentors thesis films.  For  seven years he was faculty and mentor at the American Film Institute Conservatory.  He also has taught S3D and advanced Cinematography at Art Center College of Design.  He’s currently in an exhibition at dnj Gallery in the Bergamot Arts Station in Santa Monica.  He also has 37 photographs on display at Racion Restaurant at 119 W. Green St. in Pasadena, CA.
